The President Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Hon. Buchi George has given a thumbs up to the Honourable Minister of Health on his giant strides in ensuring the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum live-up to its proposed plan in building a productive nation.
A group constituted by the Minster of Health, president of Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and a host CMDs from different part of the medical sectors jetted out of Nigeria Monday, 3rd of April 2023, with a goal to introduce and expose Nigeria medical industries to the rapidly expanding and innovative healthcare sectors in Europe, and to assist the nation’s medical industries in pursuing opportunities in Europe.
The journey that is expected to last for nine days will see the group pay courtesy call visit to ambassadors of different embassies, governments and Chamber of Commerces in Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia among others.
The group is expected to participate in the international conference on medical Ethics and professional ICMEP23, taking place in Hotel raffael, Vrale Certosa, Milano, Italy with the goal of meeting with healthcare practitioners as well as manufactures.
According to the GCCI President from his base in Europe, stated that the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD) pioneered by GCCI is an economic and business forum created to entice Foreign Direct Investment and increase global acceptance of made in Nigeria products.
“The minister, particularly on the health sector had done significantly well and with this move of ours, I believed the vision of Globe Chamber of Commerce concerning ECBD with be actualized.” The President claimed
"He has demonstrated to be an ideologist from our first meeting, he recognized that the ECBD Forum has what it takes to transform the Nigerian health sector for the better, and ensuring that we are well packaged to be able to draw major international players into the sector is something stimulating for us," the GCCI Boss added.
"Our journey is not just for emphasizes, we’ll practically demonstrate through the economic cooperation and business development (EBCD) forum that our health sectors are not a dumping ground for medical waste but rather, a sector on a mission to evolution, an investment hub that has all the attributes to entertain investors and a breeding ground for researchers and professionals to next their tents.
